Good memories upon arrival
That was the first time 1went abroad to entirelynew environment.1 could still feel the worry or even horror when 1left home as if it only happened yesterday. Howeverwhen1walked out of the airportand found the volunteer waiting to pick me upmy fear disappeared. The volunteer then became my first friend in Chinawho had not only broughtme to the campus safely but also guided me aroundto get familiar with the surroundingenvironment and accompaniedme on purchasingmy phone card and other necessities.Upon seeing the welcome slogans around the receptiondesk and friendly smiles on the attendant'sface when 1checked into the dormitorywith my luggage1 knew this place would be warm and welcoming.
Why I choose SHU
The large populationlong history and rapid developmentin the economy make China a wonderlandfor me. Meanwhile Shanghaias the economiccenter of China means more opportunityfor learn ing and self-development.After checking the website 1found that 1could not only find majors1liked herebut also many fun loving companions. These are the reasons chose Shanghai University.
SHU makeme at home
Getting used to life here is easy. You can try to find your compatriotsbut if you can't don't worrygo to the ISU (Interna
tional Students Union) in the dormitory halland you will get help. But1 think the best way to get yourselfinside is to find a Chinese peer. After that 1believeyou will soon have a group of Chinesefriends. Of course if you stillhave any problemgo to the CIE office for help.
Welcome to 5hanghaiUniversityl Here we have beautiful environmentas well as many athletic facilities. In turn you should work reallyhardand you will find studyinghere is a

When I face difficulties in study
For mestudying here was not an easy task especiallyat the beginning. My compatriots couldn't help me much on itbecause they were in different majors.50 1turned to communicatewith my
Chinese classmatesand they were all unexpectedly quite willingto help. Every day after classwe would discuss and study together. Thanks to my Chinese classmates1'm now able to accomplish my dissertationin Chinese independently. Those classmatesand I are now close friends.I'm so delightedabout the achievements I made here.
Plansfor the future
I hope I could return to Madagascarto land a job related to informationmanagement. On my gradua tion day 3 years later I believe I will be capable to speak Chinese fluentlyand know more about Chinese cultureas wel. The fact that most of my
Chinese counterpartsand classmatesintend to engage themselves in the same occupation makes me considerthat I can realizea higher personal value by serving as a bridge between two countries in
the cause of 5ino-Madagascar exchanges in the
field of information science and technology.
